Sergey Lagodinsky

Sergey Lagodinsky is a German Member of the European Parliament for the Bündnis 90/Die Grünen, as part of the Greens/EFA group. He is serving his first term in the Parliament, having been elected in 2019. Lagondinsky is vice-chair of the Committee on Legal Affairs (JURI), as well as chair of the Turkey Delegation. Additionally, he focuses on issues relating to the rule of law in the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs (LIBE). Before his election, he worked as head of the European Union and North America Division at the Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung between 2012 and 2019s. Beyond this expertise, Lagondinsky was a Yale World Fellow in New Haven in 2010. He is a licensed attorney and holds an M.A. in Public Administration from Harvard University.
