Dr. Tamás Csiki Varga graduated in 2009 with a degree in security and defense policy from the National University of Public Services and its predecessor institution, the former Miklós Zrínyi National Defense University. He then continued his studies at the Central European University and earned his Ph.D. from the NKE Doctoral School of Military Sciences. He is currently a senior research fellow at the John Lukacs Institute of the NKE EJKK. His areas of teaching and research include the defense policies of European states—particularly those of Germany and Hungary—NATO, and the security and defense policy implications of minority conflicts. Since 2018, he has served as an editor for the journal Defense and Security Analysis.
